Dexter is born and bred in Grenada and has been sailing from 8 years old.
Since 2011 when he started perfecting his seamanship working on a 90 ft schooner, he has chartered hundreds of guests up and down the Caribbean Islands and also around the Mediterranean. Having some 40,000 plus sea miles under his belt and crossed the Atlantic each way 6 times he has now returned to his home and preferred sailing area and looking forward to welcoming you on board Raiatea and sharing his stories.
Dexter is known as a knowledgeable and trustworthy captain with a cheerful and helpful nature. For hobbies, he loves his cricket, playing and challenging you at pool and of course, catching many fish off the back of the yacht for dinner. Soca and reggae music are in his soul and with that easy going Grenadian attitude to life you will have a relaxed and enjoyable time onboard secure in the knowledge you are in the most capable hands.
Linda will join Dexter from November 2021 as hostess onboard. Linda is English and, unlike Dexter has spent most of her life on land. Having travelled extensively she decided the Caribbean and the sea had her heart and she spent many trips herself as a guest on a charter yacht sailing in Grenada and The Grenadines before moving here permanently in 2018. Previously in England, she owned and ran an award winning boutique B&B in Surrey so your breakfast menu is safe with her! A natural hostess, you’ll be made to feel immediately at ease when she’s onboard, which will be most, but not all of the time.
For charters with chef, there will be three crew onboard RAIATEA and Pippa will join the vessel using the very forward pulman berth onboard. Pippa is British/Grenadian and has been working as a charter chef in Grenada and the Grenadines for many years. She has also worked alongside Dexter and Linda in 2021 for crewed charter.
