MIO-CHI is run by 2 crerwmembers: Maurits & his girlfriend Eline. They will be your captain and host during your fantastic charter holiday. As a Captain 200GT, with 10+ years experience sailing both competitively and commercially, he will show you the ins and outs of sailing the Mediterranean waters during summertime.
Maurits grew up in Antwerp, Belgium, where his love for water sports and the sea became evident from an early age. He began sailing dinghies and grew into regatta sailing and yachting later on. Maurits loves all kinds of watersports, including windsurfing, kitesurfing, (free) diving, spearfishing, wakeboarding and mono-skiing.
He has always dreamt of becoming a captain and didn’t hesitate when the opportunity arose a few years ago. Confident it was the right decision, he and his girlfriend Eline left everything behind and are still loving every second!
Maurits’ job is his passion. This is clear in the personal touch he brings to his work, in his confident manner and in his meticulous care and attention to detail. As a result, his guests can feel completely at ease and enjoy a fantastic experience that will make them feel at home on the sea.
Eline graduated as a Master in Architecture and she decided to join Maurits in the adventure of a lifetime. Being relatively new to sailing, she learnt the ropes quickly and goes around the boat like she’s never done anything else.
With many years experience in hospitality and a very warm personality, Eline is the perfect host to give you a friendly and professional treatment on board.
Cooking has always played a big part in her life, especially in the last couple of years as she displays in her varied and healthy breakfast and lunches.
Maurits and Eline make a well-balanced and highly efficient team. Their shared love of sailing and the ocean brings a fantastic enthusiasm to the experience of a cruise on MIO-SHI. All itineraries are meticulously planned to run smoothly but remain exciting and with a warm well-managed on-board environment to ensure guests enjoy every second of their trip.

DAY 5 Breakfast Pink smoothie bowl (banana, red frozen fruit, almond milk) served with almonds, coconut flakes, granola and seeds. Fruit platter, fresh bread with preserves and charcuterie platter. Drinks include juices, coffee and tea. Lunch MIO-SHI Club Sandwich, served with tabouleh couscous salad.
DAY 6 Breakfast Fruit platter, fresh bread with preserves and charcuterie platter. Drinks include juices, coffee, tea and fresh smoothie. Lunch Spinach salad with smoked salmon, halloumi, green asparagus, avocado and potato. Served with oven bread, humus and tsatsiki.
