Stuart started his career in 1999 as Deckhand on board of sailing yachts around the Maltese Archipelago and progressively made his way to captain in 2003 with a charter company. Along his 22 years of experience, Stuart sailed in many regions of the world such as the Caribbean, Asia, the Red Sea, Pacific and Indian Ocean. To acquire even more experience, Stuart worked also as First Officer on S/Y VALQUEST (41 meters), S/Y DRUMBEAT (53 meters) and the world largest sailing catamaran S/Y HEMISPHERE (45 meters).
Stuart is a team player that will make sure guests are in a safe environment and are having a memorable time on board as well as for his crewmates.
In his free time, Stuart likes to travel, dive and mountain biking.
Chef Élia Luisa Da Silva
Portuguese/South African, 34 years
Spoken languages: English & Portuguese Fluent.
Élia has a good cooking experience in South Africa. She then decided to change environment and joined the yachting industry recently, for the summer season 2021, cruising the Mediterranean Sea. She worked on M/Y MIA (32m), M/Y INFINITY (89m) as stewardess, and recently as chef onboard S/Y Mystery (33m). She will be joining S/Y LISA OF THE SEAS beginning of December for an experience split between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea.
Élia’s cuisine leans towards a Mediterranean style, which comprehends Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Greek influences and dishes. Being detail-oriented, organized and a good listener, Élia can adapt her menus depending of the meals preferences of the clients. With her experience in catering, Élia knows how to manage the provisioning for the yacht and create new original menus.
On her spare time, Élia likes to travel and cultural tours, whether it is architecture, modern art, theatre or history as well as discovering food tours.
Stewardess Gaelle Adam:
Gaelle has never been far from the sea, she has a former experience in various restaurants in France and French West Indies priding herself an excellent experience in service.
She entered the Yachting Industry in 2019. She started as second stew onboard « Smitten Kitten a Lagoon 42’ cat for the Carribean season, in the BVI. It was the perfect way to take her hospitality skills to the sea. She is now an experienced and confident stewardess, attentive to feel the clients needs and will be happy to spoil the guests onboard Lisa of the Seas for the coming season.
Gaelle enjoys to share her passion for water sports
In her free time, she loves to discover new recipes and improve her skills, she loves reading, swimming, kayaking and diving…
She speaks fluently French and English.
