Paolo has a strong background in professional yacht racing and over 25 years as a yacht Captain, having logged over 80,000NM in the Mediterranean and 50,000NM in the North Atlantic, he has a vast knowledge of cruising destinations. Since 1992 he has been a Captain/Engineer on both charter and private vessels and joined M/Y Unknown in the shipyard in the Spring of 2018 to commission her delivery, having previously worked for the same owner.
Paolo has very high professional standards, strong ethical values and a leadership style that provides guests with the most enjoyable charter experiences.
When Paolo has any down-time he enjoys tennis, snowboarding, Hobie Cat and Laser dinghy sailing and Thai boxing.

13 years of experience on cruise liners around the world and then migrated into yachting where he worked on multiple yachts .
Possesses a natural talent for making people feel at home and welcome, further developed by his work as service supervisor on cruising ships, excellent seaman and tender driver, fun with kids, outstanding professional attitude demeanor, eye for detail and ship shape.
